September Simple Pleasure #4

#4. Bubble baths

I've always loved baths. If I have the time, I would much rather relax in a tub than take a shower. Showers seem so rushed. I have a hard time shaving in the shower. I love sitting in a hot bath with fragrant bubbles and just relaxing.

But this was before I had kids. I still get to take baths but they aren't quite as relaxing as before. When Hayden was younger he would walk in, see uncovered boobies and lean over the tub to nurse. Now he wants to take a bath too. Or he thinks I need more toys so he throws all of his toys in with me.

One time Hayden came in while I was taking a bath and started playing with the bubbles. I told him that he needed to dry his hands off and let mommy relax.

"My hands just swimming, Momma." He said.

That boy, he can justify anything.

Brian is no better. He will come in with Quinn, who upon seeing me will start crying because she wants me to hold her. I think he does this on purpose to rush me. Most times I will give her a bath along with me. She loves them.

But it is quite difficult to shave my legs while trying to keep Quinn from wiggling out of my grasp and going under the water.

Who decided that women need to shave their legs and men don't have to anyway? I'd like to have a word with them!

LOL! The part about little Hayden seeing your uncovered boobies and leaning over to nurse cracked me up. Which reminds me that a few weeks ago I tried your method of getting a toddler to come to you by flashing him. It worked like a charm. :)
