A letter to my sweet boy on his birthday

Ok, it's the day before his birthday...but I'll be busy tomorrow :)
Hayden Neal,
Today is your first birthday! I can't believe you are 1 year old (Or as your Aunt Tawnya would say "You are a finger now"!!) I remember a year ago, holding you for the very first time, you were bloody and screaming, but I fell in love with you anyways. My first thoughts were I can't believe I actually just had a baby! and I also noticed right away how much you looked like your Daddy! You were 8lbs 9oz when you were born, and 21 inches long. Now you are 21 lbs 4oz and about 29 inches long (Grandma Baggiore had a hard time measuring you because you were so squirmy :) ) I have learned so much from being a mother. You taught me patience...even though I am still a LONG way from truly being patient! You've taught me to sacrifice my needs to take care of yours (mostly I've had to sacrifice sleep! LOL) But most of all, you've taught me the meaning of love. I thought I knew what love was when I met your daddy, and I think I did learn a thing or two then, but the first time I held you and looked into your beautiful little eyes, that's when I really knew. I love you, my dear little boy, more than I ever thought possible to love anyone! You are loved by many people, Hayden. You have a big extended family! Even strangers adore you! All you have to do is give them your contagious smile and you've melted their hearts! At one year old you are almost walking, taking 3 or 4 or more steps, you can wave, clap, even say a few words! (bye-bye, mama, cat, dog) I can't believe how much you've grown and how fast this year has gone by!!! I don't have much else to say, except I love you Hayden Neal, and Happy Birthday to you!!!!
