Counting my blessings
So on my best and worst things of 2008 I mentioned that something bad had happened to us in 2008 that I didn't want to mention yet. Well I guess it's time that I break the news. Since some people have been bugging me to tell them what's going on. Our house is forclosing and we are moving, this week to be exact. Yeah, it sounds like a sucky situation, but I am looking at the bright side. Our rental house that we are moving in is much bigger and several hundred dollars cheaper for rent than our mortgage was. Which means, that in the future, it's more likely that I will be able to stay home. It's also less stress on Brian and I. We won't be struggling to pay our huge mortgage and other bills and trying to make it paycheck to paycheck. In talking to friends and family, forclosure doesn't mean the same as it used to be and we've been told that in 3 years or so, we could possibly try for another loan, although I think we are going to take our sweet time getting another house. So even though I listed it as the top worst thing that's happened, I actually think it's going to turn out great for us!!!

Hi. We've never met but I'm a cousin of Brian's. I found your site on Charlene's and I love being able to see what you are up to.I'm sorry that you have to go through that. My husband and I had the same problem when he lost a job. We were lucky enough to find a buyer so we could get out with a little extra money and the weight that was lifted off of us was worth not owning our own house anymore. You're right to think of it as a blessing.
