#9. Baking
I mentioned yesterday what a wonderful baker my mom is. She seems to have passed her love of baking on to some of her daughters (and at least one son, my brother Aaron is a great baker. We refer to him as "Barney Crocker"). I seem to have gotten her love of baking.
I'm a lazy person but once I get motivated to bake something I find it very therapeutic. And it really boosts your confidence when people try whatever you made and tell you how wonderful it is!
I found a great cupcake cook book recently at the Borders going out of business sale. Until getting this cookbook, I used to make box cupcakes! Can you believe that?!?!
I will never go back.
And there is a whole section in the back of different types of frostings. Buttercreams, meringues, ganache, cream cheese, glazes. You haven't LIVED until you've had homemade ganache frosting. So rich and smooth.
I better end this post. I'm starting to drool.
