#15. Good deals

Y'all are probably sick of me complaining about how little space we have at my parents house. Brian and I are constantly trying to figure out ways to give us a little more space. We have a huge flat screen TV. We bought it for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Its one of those huge ones that they don't make anymore. It's like 5 feet tall and wide and three feet deep (or more). It took up a LOT of room in our cramped bedroom. When we moved in with my parents one of the wheels broke. Brian and I decided we would leave it with my parents when we moved.

Well we decided to get a new TV before we moved out. We bought a nice little flat screen TV and looked on craigslist for stands. We found an ad for a really nice entertainment center for about the same price as some of the new stands we'd looked at. The ad said the entertainment center must be picked up by the 20th (It was the 18th). I didn't really want an entertainment center, but this was a DEAL! I called the number right away. I told the lady I'd have to borrow my dad's little chevy truck but we could come get it asap. She said if all we had was a little truck we would need two to move the center. I told her we'd figure something out and call her back.

We found a second truck and I called her back. I got her voicemail. Since she didn't answer I figured she promised the entertainment center to someone else. We found another stand that we liked and were waiting on the owner to give us some details we needed in order to make a final decision. We decided to go look at some furniture stores to see what kind of deals they had. As we were driving to the first store I noticed I had a voicemail.

It was the lady with the entertainment center. I had my phone next to me the entire time and it had never rang. I called her back and made arrangements to pick it up early Saturday morning.

I won't get into the drama that took place while we were picking it up (the girl was divorcing her husband and moving into an apartment). We got the center home and set it up. It's HUGE! But it also has so much storage that we actually have MORE space than we did with our big lug of a TV.

Amazing.

Our room was transformed into a different place. I am so in love with it I have to drag my siblings back to show them. I did it so many times that Hayden started dragging people back to show them his room. He's so dang cute!

The only problem is that now I have more to dust. I hate dusting.
