So I opened a picture folder on my computer and picked a random picture.
This is the little gem I opened
Ummm....wow....this was taken a long time ago. Before Brian and I were married...before we even served our MISSIONS!!!!!
Yikes.
So a little about the people in this picture. All the boys you see are Brian's best friends, well and Brian of course. They went to high school, seminary and church together. 3 of them got married the same year as Brian and I! The girl you see next to me is my best friend Heather.
Right to Left starting with the back row is Tommy, Matt, David, Jesse. Front Row is Brian, me and Heather.
I remember this day so vividly. It was two days before Brian left for his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was going to Seattle, Washington and he'd be gone for 2 whole years. We could write but we couldn't talk on the phone and I couldn't visit him. I was proud of his decision to go on a mission, I was planning on going on one myself (I had to wait until I was 21). But the night this picture was taken, it was just starting to hit me how long he was going to be gone.
Looking at this makes me smile. My haircut was too short, Brian didn't match, and we could never get a picture with Heather's eyes open!
All of us have changed so much. I guess that's what 10 years does! Tommy is married and his wife is expecting their 3rd baby. Matt is married and they have 3 children, David has 4 kids, Jesse's wife just had their first. Brian and I have two kids and Heather and her husband have two kids as well. We still see each other on occasion too. Tommy and Matt live about 20 minutes away from us. Heather lives about an hour away. David lives in Texas but he's Brian's cousin so we see him at family reunions. Jesse lives in Idaho but he came to visit us in December.
It's pretty cool to think that even though this picture is over 10 years old that we've been able to keep in touch all this time. We were just kids in this picture, but we've all grown up and become successful adults with jobs and houses and adorable kids!
I'm so glad we're all still friends.

I LOVE the random pic idea. I am finding blogging a bit of a chore these days. It's a great way to keep things rolling and I love the old pic. Hillarous that Bryan isn't matching.
Thanks Georgia! I was pretty bored with blogging too. It's becoming a lot more fun now. :)
