Lessons I learned while flying alone with my 7 month old

* Airport employees cannot hold babies
* Do not wear converse shoes or a belt through security. They will make you take them off.
* Its difficult to put converse on while holding a baby. Thank goodness for the nice lady who saw me struggling and offered to hold Quinn for me!
* Its impossible to put your belt back on while holding a baby.
* Baby carriers are great, but they make you take them completely off while going through security and carry the baby in your arms. You can't tie a mei tai back on with one hand.
* Thank goodness for modern technology! I had my boarding pass on my phone!
* There are no changing stations in the plane bathroom so you can change a blow out. Luckily Quinn was happy laying across my lap while I changed her.
* When your screaming baby finally falls asleep, DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE!

Thankfully, both of us survived and no one got mad at me for being that mother; the one with the screaming, cranky baby!!
Pictures of the California trip to come when my camera arrives home! :)
