"Be Gentle"

I so wish I could have gotten a video of this, but it happened to fast. So lately, Hayden's discovered hitting. Whenever he does hit I tell him to "Be gentle" or "Be soft" and I take his hand and make it stroke my cheek to show him the nice way to touch people. It works pretty well, not only when he hits, but when he's around animals. Especially baby Lambert! (He's VERY gentle, well, as gentle as a toddler can be, with Lambert!!) So anyways, last night Hayden was playing with a car and he tried to smack me in the face with it, and I said "No Hayden, be gentle!" Hayden immediately put his car down and started stroking my cheek! It was so cute! He can be taught! :)
